1. Ordering
1.1 When you place an order you confirm that all details provided are accurate and you have permission to provide them. You enter a contract with Move when you place an order. Payment will be taken when the order is processed, and the order will be completed as per your selected shipping method. You will receive an email confirming your order, with subsequent emails informing you of dispatch of your goods. Please check all details are correct, including ordered items and address details. Should you need to amend your order, please contact Customer Services.
1.2 To place an order through the site you must be 18 years old and have valid card details to a registered bank.
1.3 Payments
You can place an order using a debit/credit card or with a registered Paypal account, by creating a secure account or checking out as a guest. We also accept payment via bank transfer through a pro forma invoice. It is possible to make a pro forma invoice subject to a minimum purchase of $500. Orders will only be validated once the pro forma invoice has been paid and cleared in our account.
We occasionally carry out random security checks. This is to ensure that no one uses your data without your consent, or with a stolen or duplicated card. In this instance, we will contact you to request the relevant documentation in order to proceed with your order. We thank you for your patience and understanding of this procedure.
1.4 We are unable to add additional items to orders. Any additional items will need to be placed in a new order, or you can request to cancel your existing order so you can make a new order containing all required items (depending on the status of your order). Please contact Customer Services to check if this is possible. We cannot combine multiple orders into one parcel.
1.5 Shoes:
Some of our dance shoes come in European or American sizes which we convert into English sizings. The size you ordered may not match the size on the box, but it is the correct converted size. Please try on both shoes to check the fit.
2. Availability
2.1 Move works hard to keep the Site and stock levels up to date. In the event that an item(s) you have ordered is out of stock, we will place an order with our suppliers and ship it to you as soon as possible, with no additional shipping charges. The available items in your order will be shipped to you as normal.
2.2 Move reserves the right to reject or cancel any orders, in the event of:
- Product out of stock / discontinued
- Incorrect address / outside of delivery zone (see delivery page for excluded postcodes)
- Incorrect billing information
- Fraudulent activity
- Errors on the website
- Force majeure
3. Delivery
3.1 We offer different types of shipping methods that are available to you dependent on your location. Please click here to learn about shipping costs and estimated delivery times. In the event of delivery delay, please refer to our delivery page for information on when an item can be declared as missing.
4. Returning Goods
4.1 Our Returns Policies and Your Statutory Rights
UK & EU retail customers
You may return eligible items for a refund of the goods within 28 days of receipt of the products (40 days for EU orders). Please check your items are eligible for return (see below section 4.3) and follow the returns process set-out below. Orders where all items are returned within 14 days of receipt are additionally eligible for refund of standard delivery charges (under the Consumer Contract Regulations, formerly Distance Selling Regulations) please email [email protected] to request this statutory entitlement. The cost of returning unwanted items is born by you, but you may use our subsidised returns mail services. Faulty or incorrect items returns costs will be paid for by us (either via a free postage label or refund of reasonable mail costs).
UK & EU teacher account holders / wholesale customers
As dance teachers making purchases on behalf of schools, pupils and/or for professional use you acknowledge that supply of goods are a commercial transaction and statutory Consumer Contract Regulations (formerly Distance Selling Regulations) do not apply. For most eligible goods our policy is to offer refunds for unwanted goods within 28 days of receipt (40 days for EU orders). The cost of returning unwanted items is borne by you, but you may be offered the use of our subsidised returns mail services. Faulty or incorrect items returns costs will be paid for by us (either via a free postage label or refund of reasonable mail costs). Some products are not automatically eligible for return - see items list below.
Worldwide retail & teacher wholesale customers
Statutory distance selling regulations (Consumer Contract Regulations, formerly Distance Selling Regulations) do not apply to orders sending goods outside of the UK & EU. For most eligible goods our policy is to offer refunds for unwanted goods within 40 days of receipt. The cost of returning unwanted items is borne by you, but you may use our subsidised returns mail services. Faulty or incorrect items returns costs will be paid for by us (either via a free postage label or refund of reasonable mail costs).
4.2 What Items Can You Return
Eligible items:
- Unwanted goods in an unworn state, labels attached and with original packaging.
- Tights and underwear in its original unopened packaging, not worn or tried on.
- CDs and DVDs must be in their original sealed packaging.
Not eligible for return:
- For hygiene reasons, we are unable to accept tights and underwear back for refund or exchange if the packaging has been opened.
- For all retail & teacher customers made-to-order items, including Alegra Lycra multi-print ranges.
Faulty items:
- All genuinely faulty items are eligible for return regardless of retail or teacher customer status, custom made orders, underwear, tights or otherwise ineligible.
4.3 How To Return Items
Please use the online returns process to register your return before sending any items back to us. If you have created an account with us, you can access your order history and choose an order to register a return for.
Sending items back
If you wish to change your item for an alternative (size, colour, style etc) please send your item(s) back for a refund and make a new purchase - this is the quickest way to change your item. If you wish to exchange an item you will be given a freepost voucher to enable you to replace the item with no further delivery costs. However if your item is faulty or has been sent incorrectly, we will be able to arrange a replacement to be sent out to you free of charge (you do not need to re-order the item). For customers outside of the EU, please email [email protected] before returning a faulty or incorrect item so we can advise on what steps to take.
When returning your item(s) for a refund, the amount will be credited back to the original payment method.
Using our subsidised returns postage service
In order to make it easier and cheaper to return items to Move Dance we can offer use of our subsidized returns service. For a small fee you can print a postage label and drop off your parcel at a convenient location to return it back to us. Full details will be set out during the returns registration process above including the subsidised fee. The fee will be deducted from any refund amounts due to you. Faulty and erroneous goods will be entitled to free returns postage in accordance with distance selling regulations.
If you cannot print the returns slip
If you are unable to print the returns form (and use the subsidised returns service), please enclose your original invoice or a cover note specifying the order number, which items you wish to be returned and why. For your reference, here are the returns reasons:

How long to process a return?
Your returns will be received and processed within 10 business days (UK) or 15 (Europe and Worldwide). If you return your order via a priority service, we will not be able to process it as a priority.If you are due a refund, the funds will be available in your account within 3-5 business days. Paypal funds will be available immediately after processing your return.
This does not affect your statutory rights.
5. Prices, Taxes and Other Costs
Move Dance currently dispatches goods from our warehouse in the United Kingdom
For European Union Customers.
You (the customer) are the consignee of the goods under Delivery Duty Paid (DDP) Incoterms 2020.
Simply put; this means that you (the customer) are the importer of the goods, but we (Move Dance) via our agent(s) are responsible for the cost of carriage, duty and VAT at the place of import into the European Union. Where these are reasonably due, we will pay these costs on your behalf. You (the customer) therefore should not incur any further cost than those charged on our website at the point of purchase.
Addendum: As of 01/07/2021 shipments with a value less than €150 (excluding VAT) are cleared using the IOSS (Import One Stop Shop) VAT scheme. Local EU Member state VAT is charged on these shipments and paid by Move Dance.
Addendum: As of 02/06/2022 shipments with a Value of greater than €150 are cleared into the European Union by Move Dance. Local VAT EU Member state VAT is charged on these shipments and paid by Move Dance.
Due to the complexity of changes to import and VAT since Brexit we do not routinely provide VAT invoices with your order, if you require a copy of VAT or would like to understand the VAT rate charged on your order please contact our customer services.
For Rest of World Customers (not UK or EU)
You (the customer) are the consignee of the goods under Delivery Duty Unpaid (DDU) Incoterms 2020.
Simply put; this means you (the customer) are responsible for any Duty, VAT and clearance charges due within your country.
We (Move Dance) are responsible for the costs of carriage to your address.
6. For our Swiss customers
6.1
Please be aware that import or customs charges may apply. These costs are not our responsibility to calculate and are therefore not included in our prices. It is your responsibility to pay any customs or import charges when receiving your order, and also when receiving any subsequent exchanges. Please speak with your local post office to establish whether you are eligible or not for a reimbursement of costs when returning goods. You can make an application for a reimbursement of charges from your customs charges, but processing fees will apply. Contact your local post office or customs office for more information.

When collecting your data through our website we will always use Secure Server Technology (SSL-128 bit encryption) to ensure industry standard security of your data during transmission.
When you choose to store credit card details in your account with us we do not store these details on our systems but use bank and/or payment gateway services which have the necessary higher security levels for storing this sensitive financial data.
Access to your data on our systems is secured within our data centre and protected from external access by any unauthorised person.
When you have created an account you are responsible for keeping your password safe and for not divulging it to anybody else.

As a logged in user you have access to all the data that we hold about you and are able to check and amend it.
Please note that we can only remove data which is not required for the processing of any orders you place through our website.

If you are an account holder you must contact us using the email address that you have registered with your account. If you are not an account holder you must contact us using an email address that has been used to place an order.
We will acknowledge receipt of your request and respond with the requested data within one month. We will only ever correspond with you via the email address associated with your account or order(s).
To amend the data we hold about you:

For telephone amendments we will establish your identity through our usual security checks and make the changes either there and then or as soon as we can following the call.
